Privacy Statement

Terrapane values the privacy of its visitors and customers. We do not share any personal information with any third party for any reason, except as specified herein or as required by law.

Terrapane uses one or more mailing lists which are open to the public and hosted by Packetizer. Through those lists, it might be possible for third parties to get information, such as names and e-mail addresses, as most of those lists are published and open to the public.

Metrics are recorded, such as the number of visitors, number of downloads, etc. Web server software we use logs the IP address of visitors (as is typical for nearly every web site on the Internet), though web logs are not stored permanently. Such logging data is generally retained for about 30 days.

Software download logs are retained indefinitely, though that data is never correlated with specific users and used solely for the purpose of keeping a count of downloads and trends. Download data is shared with third parties.

We use Packetizer Forums for public discussion on our software products. When you register, your email address, registration IP address, and other information you provide as a part of your profile is retained indefinitely by Packetizer. The software Packetizer uses publishes the profile data you provide, except for your email address. The email address is used for registration verification only and for contacting you should it be necessary. That information is never shared with third parties.

Some of Terrapane's web properties serve advertisements that contain content that is not generated by Terrapane. In some cases, those advertisements might be accompanied by "cookies" that are used to serve ads based on a user's browsing patterns and/or interests. For Google ads, users may opt-out of such "interest-based" advertising.

Terrapane may use one or more payment processors to process payments for software and services. Data you provide to those payment processors may be retained and used by those payment processors according to their policies or as required by law. Terrapane does not copy or store any information you provide to those processor that might be made available to Terrapane.
